Independent software investigation · public upstream repair evidence

When software says “done”—but the state, event or permission is wrong

Is your workflow reporting success before a remote state exists? Did an interrupted write leave a step and its creation event out of sync? Can a configuration change cross a permission boundary?

I am Shin (shin4141). I investigate concrete failures around completion truth, workflow state transitions, authorization and recovery. My work includes reviewed upstream fixes in multiple third-party projects. A new codebase requires its own evidence and investigation; these examples do not establish that every system can be repaired the same way.

Problems and upstream evidence

Is this relevant to a different product?

Possibly, when a failure shares a comparable state-transition, authority or recovery boundary. The product need not be one of the projects above. An actual diagnosis depends on the failing version, reproduction, data flow, existing controls and deployment constraints. This is not a claim of prior repair experience with an unspecified system.

Focused paid investigation and repair inquiries

If you have a critical unresolved failure, send a public issue or a sanitized description of the expected versus actual state, the failure trigger and recovery behavior. I can assess whether a bounded independent investigation is appropriate. Availability, scope, schedule, price, confidentiality and responsibility are agreed before work begins; no response-time, security outcome or production repair guarantee is implied.
